  • Going Random

That's like Going Rogue, in case you were wondering.

*As I pulled out of the driveway to take the kids to school today, I saw that I still have my Christmas Bell Wreath on the front door. Oh well.

*I worked out today. At an actual gym. It was my first time. I liked it. I wore my shirt with the Superman S on it for inspiration.

*Speaking of my first time, I pulled out a gray hair for the first time yesterday. Yikes.

*I've heard a song on the radio three times now that I love and as of yet I cannot find it in itunes. That makes me sad.

*Tomorrow is sibling preregistration at the preschool Isaac goes to. Oliver's birthday is past the enrollment date so next year, for the first time in like 6 years, we won't have a child at that preschool. I'm kind of sad about that. I love those people.

*I made two dozen lemon cupcakes yesterday evening.  At this time they are more than half gone.

  • Good for you for working out at the gym.  I still have a small Christmas tree in our room..but it's out of choice.

The cupcakes sound delish. No wonder they are half gone. After all, you live with a housefull of growing guys.

Sorry about the preschool.  Can't believe how quickly your guys are growing.

  • It is quite a process---preschool and finally their last school day and gone. We had our kids so young that the nest was empty when we were in our mid 40's.

Really nice that you could work out. I started a fitness program when I was 40 and lost 65 pounds and jogged---later just walking.

Wishing you the best this weekend,

    frank

  • Fun random!  As long as you don't go rogue on us, I think its all good!  I would say you are doing quite well to have only pulled out your first grey hair this week!!

  • ditto what audrey said - first grey hair and FIVE boys?? you're doing good girlfriend. ;) )

yay for exercising. i'm trying too!!! i think i need a superman shirt though for inspiration.

  • @grace_to_be - get one! it totally worked. I was kind of sad about the grey hair. Oh well. My sister has been getting them FOREVER (ha) so I'm lucky this was my first one.

  • @HUMOR_ME_NOW - 65 lbs? Wow, that's impressive! Way to go.

  • I have a similar superman t-shirt. It makes me fee invincible.

  • I've noticed people around town who still have christmas stuff up and ask my hubby-isn't it time to put it up? lol

  • love me some random. those cupcakes sound really good. they looked it too on that instagram picture. with that many boys around, i can easily see that they would go fast.
yay for working out and superman shirts!

  •  that sounds like the perfect workout attire. the only thing possibly better would include a cape. your FIRST gray hair? what? cool. now i have t-shirt and hair envy both. i LOVE lemon. how disciplined of you to have so many left.

  • I like how this post both included working out and yummy food :)

  • @redladybug18 - They go hand in hand, right?? lol

  • Just one grey hair? If I pulled all mine I'd be bald!!!!!

  • I still have my little porch trees with lights on them on my porch. I KNOW all my neighbors are wondering what my deal is, but hey, I like them and te hink they're cozy. :)

I love it - the working at the gym with the Super MOM t-shirt. :) You can just say that's what it is, right? Because you really are, you know.

  • I remember the days of finding my first gray hair and pulling them out but eventually they got faster than me and took over<:)

Very cool that you started working out and sad about the preschool.  I know that feeling and when my youngest, Mike, graduated from preschool to grade school i cried.  When he graduated from high school, they all brought boxes of tissue for me.
And when he graduated from college, even though i was sued to him living far away in another state, I still traveled to his graduation and when he walked out on state with the rest of the college grads., he stopped at the microphone and said, the crying and nose blowing in the back is my Mom and I love ya Mom."  I really blubbered then.
Hope you and yours are having a wonderful week end.
